Sedgwick County election office mails 60,000 advance ballots
Sedgwick County's election commissioner says her office sent out 60,000 advance ballots to voters on Wednesday, which is the first day they could be mailed.
Tabitha Lehman told The Wichita Eagle that her office has been getting about 2,000 requests a day for advance ballots. The office sent out 73,726 advance ballots for the 2008 election, and there were 10,000 fewer registered voters in the county then.
Voter registration ended Tuesday for the Nov. 6 election.
