Cell fire at Hutchinson Correctional Facility under investigation
The cause of a fire in a cell at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility is under investigation.
One inmate was taken to a clinic for smoke inhalation treatment after the fire occurred in the disciplinary segregation unit around 1 p.m.
Staff at the facility put out the fire. The Hutchinson Fire Department was not requested to help.
There were no injuries to employees.
