The Oklahoma Turnpike Patrol has closed Interstate-35 at Blackwell, Oklahoma, due to visibility problems due to blowing dust.

There have been several accidents, but no serious injuries. The National Weather Service said visibilities are reduced to less than a mile at times. The wind gusts of 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 55 miles per hour will spread across north central Oklahoma. This makes for dangerous driving conditions, especially for high profile vehicles.
