Naked man arrested after attacking woman
Wichita Police say a woman was attacked by a naked man inside of her home Saturday. It happened shortly before 6 p.m. in the 1100 block of S. Lulu.
Sgt. Bart Brunscheen said the woman had returned to her house when she found the man naked inside of her bedroom. The suspect tackled the woman, but she was eventually able to escape and call 911.
Police surrounded the home and attempted to contact the suspect, who barricaded himself inside. Sgt. Don Kimball said at the scene that after enough officers had arrived in the area, police entered the home and took the suspect into custody.
He was taken to the sixth floor of city hall to be interviewed by detectives. Brunscheen said he was eventually booked into jail on charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary and aggravated sexual battery.
The suspect's name has not been released. Police say the woman did not know who the man was.
