Man stabbed in South Wichita
Wichita Police are interviewing witnesses and trying to locate a suspect after a stabbing Monday in South Wichita. Police were called to the 1700 block of South Main near Harry shortly before 4 a.m.
Sergeant Santiago Hungria, Jr. said that when officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man inside a home with multiple stab wounds to his torso. He was taken by EMS to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in serious condition, where he underwent surgery.
Lieutenant Joe Schroeder said officers were unable to get much information from him.
The suspect is believed to be a white male in his 40s. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown shirt. The victim identified him by the name of "Chad."
Police have been talking to two witnesses who were at the scene of the stabbing.
