Police still looking for driver in weekend crash
Wichita police have been looking for a woman in her 20s who was driving a car that crashed into a retaining wall at Kellogg and Oliver. The woman called 911 early Saturday to report the crash, but she then left the scene.
Lieutenant Joe Schroeder said officers found a 19-year-old man pinned in the car. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, and he underwent surgery over the weekend. Schroeder said the man was a passenger in the car.
Schroeder said the car was registered to a person who was not involved in the crash, and the car had been loaned to the woman who was driving it.
