Crash in Hutchinson leaves one man dead
Speed is believed to be a factor in a fatal traffic accident that happened in Hutchinson.
According to Hutchinson police, the accident happened around 9:30 Friday night. Initially, an officer observed a white Kia Sorrento travelling at a high rate of speed and attempted to stop the vehicle.
A short time later, some one called police to report an accident near the intersection of 1st and Hendricks. Police say the vehicle they were looking for hit a concrete abuttment and rolled several times, ejecting all three occupants.
Two of the occupants were flown to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in critical condition, while a third was pronounced dead a short time later.
