Rabbit breeders convention to wrap up in downtown Wichita
Organizers of the American Rabbit Breeders Association convention in Wichita say the show is pumping about $2 million into the local economy.
The show ends Wednesday morning after five days of events.
"The granddaddy of all rabbit shows," said convention chairman Tom Little. "People come from all over the United States, and we've got rabbits from overseas and we've got a lot of rabbits going back to foreign countries."
About 3,000 breeders showed about 22,000 of their prize bunnies. The show took up the entire Century II convention space.
Little said the convention could return to Wichita for a third time, but it would be a while. The next two annual conventions will be in Pennsylvania and Texas.
