Police arrest man in Wichita child abuse case
Wichita police have arrested a 19-year-old man in a child abuse case.
Lieutenant Doug Nolte said an 11-month-old boy was taken to a hospital with severe head injuries on Tuesday. Medical personnel called 911 when the injuries didn't match up with the information they were given.
Nolte said the boy was in critical condition from bleeding on the brain. Detectives arrested the boyfriend of the child's mother for aggravated battery and attempted second degree murder.
Nolte said the man is not the father of the child.
