One in custody after Hutchinson Halloween murder
The Hutchinson Police Department took one suspect into custody on suspicion of the murder of a man at a Halloween party.
Isaac Beltran, 20, is charged with suspicion of second degree murder.
Dustin Brooks, 26, was shot at a party on Oct. 31 in the 200 block of N. Cleveland in Hutchinson. Someone drove Brooks to a home in the 100 block of East B St., then later to a nearby fire station. Brooks was taken to Hutchinson Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Beltran was also charged with criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and criminal discharge of a firearm.
Police say the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
