Kansas sends teams to help east coast recovery efforts
The civilian incident management team from the Kansas Department of Emergency Management is assisting with recovery efforts in Maryland in the wake of the superstorm caused by the merging of Hurricane Sandy with a winter storm system. The team will be assisting Garret County officials in Western Maryland where over two feet of snow has fallen.
Two more staffers from the Kansas Division of Emergency Management are assisting officials in Albany, New York. They are helping with logistical supply support.
