WSU engineering dean takes new job
The dean of Wichita State University's College of Engineering is leaving for a new position in Arkansas.
Zulma Toro-Ramos has been the engineering dean since 2005. In January, she will become the provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
WSU president John Bardo and interim provost Keith Pickus will determine the process of choosing a new engineering dean. Toro-Ramos said she is proud of the accomplishments of the College of Engineering in teaching and research, and it has earned a national reputation as a leader in experience-based education.
Toro-Ramos expressed thanks to the faculty, students, staff and alumni of the college for their support.
