Police say man is lucky after he was shot in the head
A 39-year-old man drove himself to the hospital Saturday evening after he was shot in the head. Wesley Medical Center staff alerted Wichita Police after the man showed up around 6:30 p.m. with a gunshot wound to his head.
Sgt. Ron Hunt said the man was shot in the head, but the bullet did not penetrate the man's skull. Instead, the bullet traveled in and out.
The man's injuries are not life threatening, but he will be kept overnight for observation. Police are looking for a person of interest in connection to the shooting.
