Police say women were posing as officers during home robbery
Police say two women had guns and badges, posing as police officers when they robbed a north Wichita resident early Monday. The robbery was reported around 8:45 a.m. at a home in the 2200 block of North Bluff.
Wichita Police Lt. Doug Nolte said a 50-year-old man returned to his home to find the women inside. They pointed guns at him and showed badges, saying they were police. They took property and money from the home and got away in a gray Honda CRV. The victim was not hurt.
Nolte said one woman was described as Hispanic, in her 30s, around 5-feet-7-inches tall and 130 pounds. The other woman was white, around 27 years old, 5-feet-8-inches tall and 145 pounds.
