Shots fired at south Wichita home
Wichita Police say several shots were fired at a south Wichita home late Monday night, but no one was hurt. The shooting was reported around 11 p.m. in the 4900 block of E. Morris.
Lieutenant Doug Nolte said there were seven people inside the home, including three girls - ages 6, 9 and 10 - and a 17-year-old boy. A 45-year-old man, a 37-year-old woman and a 60-year-old woman were also in the home. Nolte said they heard shots and looked outside, but didn't see anything.
One shot passed through the house and went into a neighboring home.
Shell casings were found in the street. Nolte said a witness reported seeing a car leaving the area. It was described as a mid-size 90s model four-door passenger car with a rounded back end.
