Emmett Till civil rights exhibit opens in Wichita
The Kansas African-American Museum in Wichita held an opening for a traveling civil rights exhibit.
The exhibit "For All The World To See: Visual Culture and the Struggle For Civil Rights," features photos, television clips and posters following the death of 14-year-old Emmett Till in Mississippi in 1955.
"It's been in large cities like New York, Memphis, Chicago, and we should be proud it's in Wichita right now," said Prisca Barnes, KAAM director.
The KAAM museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
