Man chases burglars off with pitchfork
Wichita Police arrested two young men after they ransacked a home in the 2600 block of S. Cheyenne Saturday morning.
The robbery was reported by a 62-year-old man who witnessed the men break into the home. The man then chased the burglars off with a pitchfork.
Wichita Police Sgt. Scott Brunow said the two men, ages 19 and 16, were found hiding by police a short time later. Both were arrested on burglary charges.
The homeowner, an 86-year-old woman, was not at home at the time of the robbery. Brunow said there was no loss to the home.
