After being hit in the leg by a bullet fragment in Oklahoma City, a woman went to the hospital for medical treatment - in Wichita.

The woman and three other women were inside a car outside the Dem Damn Sevens motorcycle club in Oklahoma City on Sunday when gun shots were fired.

"While they were sitting in the vehicle, a bullet struck the driver side door two times," said Wichita Police Lt. Doug Nolte. "Our victim, who was sitting in the rear seat, was hit by a fragment of the bullet."

The 34-year-old victim later sought treatment at a hospital in Wichita. Nolte said she was hit by the bullet in the left leg, but the injury was not serious. She was later treated and released from the hospital.

Nolte said police are unsure why the woman came to Wichita for treatment, although she is a Wichita resident.
