Wichita trash service, auto shop burglarized Monday morning

Two Wichita businesses were burglarized early Monday morning.

A burglar made off with a safe after breaking into Ballinger Trash Service, located in the 400 block of N. Baehr. The suspect forced open the door of the building. 

The burglar also took money from the business. Wichita police do not have any suspect information. The crime is believed to have happened between midnight and 5 a.m.

Jim's Tire and Auto Service was broken into after the burglar busted through a panel door of the garage. Once inside the building in the 1200 block of S. Rock Rd., the suspect threw a battery through a glass door to get into the office.

Cars and keys were taken. The owner of the business found the crime scene around 5 a.m.

The two burglaries are not necessarily related.
