A north Wichita duplex apartment was damaged by fire early Sunday. Firefighters did not see any smoke or flames when they arrived at the duplex around 3:30 a.m. in the 900 block of North Glendale, but they discovered fire in the living room when they got into the apartment.

Acting Wichita Fire Department Battalion Chief Frank Buck said crews got the fire out quickly. The fire was confined to the living room, with smoke damage to the rest of the apartment.

No one was home in that south side apartment, and there were no injuries. The people living in the north unit got out safely, and were later allowed back into their apartment.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. There's no dollar estimate on the damage.
