Fire damages home in Willowbend neighborhood
Wichita firefighters used their aerial platform truck to soak the roof of a burning house in the Willowbend neighborhood Sunday afternoon.
A neighbor told the homeowner after seeing flames coming from the shake-shingled roof of the two-story home in the 4100 block of North Jasmine. It was about 4 p.m.
There was only one person home at the time. He got out safely.
An investigator was working to determine the cause of the fire. The damage has been estimated at $150,000.
