Wesley Medical Center has introduced online emergency room (ER) check-in across all four of its Wichita ER locations.

Patients and their families or friends who might be on their way to a Wesley ER can now provide advance notice of their arrival by checking-in through www.wesleyERcheckin.com.

Wesley operates the most comprehensive network of Emergency Departments across Wichita, including Wesley Medical Center ER, Wesley Pediatric ER, Wesley West ER and newly expanded ER services at Galichia Heart Hospital.

“This online tool allows our ER staffs to enhance our communications for a better patient experience,” said Jeremy Pauly, Wesley Emergency Director.  “The ER is a busy place and anything that can assist us with anticipating the arrival of a patient is a win for us and a win for the patient.”

Wesley online ER check-in is quick, free and easy. Checking in online takes less than a minute using any internet browser on a computer, tablet or smartphone. When checking in online, visitors fill out a simple form, providing information such as patient name, language preference and the reason for the visit.  Knowing these simple bits of information will better prepare the medical staff for your arrival.

Wesley’s online ER check-in service is another tool in a growing suite of online and digital services. This month a new version of www.wesleymc.com launched. The new Wesley Kids Symptom Checker iPhone application has exceeded 1,000 downloads. The iPhone application can be downloaded www.wesleykids.com. Driven by their billboard app, Wesley’s Birthcare Facebook page, www.facebook.com/WesleyBirthCare, remains the nation’s favorite in the category and is the most popular amongst all hospitals in Wichita.

“Wesley is dedicated to creating new methods that make it easier for people to connect with the information they need and to connect with each other regarding their health and the health of those around them,” said Paul Petitte, Wesley’s executive vice president of marketing. “For 100 years Wesley has innovated to keep pace with the times and that responsibility and leadership continues today.”
