Butler County redraws commission districts
Butler County has drawn up a new map for the five county commission districts. The boundaries had to be redrawn to make the districts more equal in population, based on numbers from the 2010 Census.
County commissioners will have public hearings on Monday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. and on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 9 a.m. The hearings will be held in the commission meeting room on the fourth floor of the Historic Courthouse in El Dorado.
Public comments can be submitted in writing to the administration office by noon on Monday, or they can be mailed to 205 W. Central, 4th Floor, Courthouse, El Dorado, KS 67042.
