Wichita State volleyball makes school history

For the first time in school history, Wichita State's volleyball team sealed its spot in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament.

The Shockers (24-9) knocked off No. 20 Kansas (26-7) in Lawrence in four sets Saturday night, 23-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-21.

Ashley Andrade led WSU with 18 kills and nine blocks. Chelsey Feekin provided 48 assists, while Jackie Church aided the Shocker defense with 19 digs.

Kansas trimmed WSU's fourth set lead to 20-19, but the Shockers used three kills from Emily Adney to finish off the Jayhawks. 

Wichita State advances to face USC on Friday in Austin, Texas. The Trojans (29-5) are ranked No. 4 in the country. The winner moves on to Saturday to face the victor of No. 3 Texas versus No. 15 Florida.
