Man arrested after assault at Wichita motel
Wichita police arrested a 37-year-old man late Sunday after 2 women reported being attacked in a motel room. Officers were called to the Auto Inn motel at 1230 North Broadway.
Lieutenant Doug Nolte said a 45-year-old woman received a deep cut on her hand when the man slashed her with a piece of broken glass from a picture frame. The man then grabbed a butcher knife and tried to slash a 30-year-old woman, but she was not hurt. When the man left, the women called 911 and led officers to the man's motel room. He was arrested for aggravated assault.
