Firefighters put out a kitchen fire in a bungalow at 1930 North Wellington Place in Wichita.
The fire was reported at 8:26 p.m. Tuesday. Wichita Fire Battalion Chief Kevin Royse says the occupants were away from the home and there were no injuries.
Damage to the home is estimated at $23,000. A fire investigator said the fire started in a wall of the kitchen. He blames it on an electrical problem.
The home is close to the intersection of 21st and Waco.
