Thunder defeat Rush to end roadtrip
Thunder defenseman Kevin Young scored the game-winning goal in the fourth round of the shootout, as Wichita defeated the Rapid City Rush 2-1 Tuesday night.
Goaltender Kevin Regan improved to 7-5-2 on the season as he stopped 23 of 24 shots, including 4 of 5 Rush chances in the shootout.
With the win, the Thunder finish their three-game road trip 2-1-0 and improve their overall record to 12-6-2 (24 points), one point behind the league leading Allen Americans.
The Thunder return to the friendly confines of Intrust Bank Arena Friday to host the Tulsa Oilers. Game time is set for 7:05 pm.
