Dollar General shooting suspect charged with capital murder
Sedgwick County prosecutors have filed capital murder charges against a 19-year-old man accused in the fatal shooting deaths of a customer and an employee at a Wichita Dollar General store.
19-year-old Marquis Marshall appeared in court Wednesday afternoon to face charges for last Friday's shooting. The bodies of 22-year-old employee Zackary Hunt and 79-year-old customer Henry Harvey were found at the front of the Dollar General store at 13th and Oliver.
The capital murder charge would allow prosecutors to seek the death penalty if Marshall is convicted. His bond was set at $5 million and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 18th.
