Sedgwick County commissioners change meeting schedule
Sedgwick County commissioners will have 1 less meeting each month for 2013. The commissioners voted Wednesday to approve a new contract for the live broadcast of their meetings on public TV station KPTS. A schedule change was made so that commissioners will not meet on the last Wednesday of each month.
The county's communications director, Kristi Zukovich, said this was an effort to cut costs for the 2013 budget. She says it will be benefical to staff and may help reduce some of the costs associated with the regular commission meetings.
