Two people hurt in crash on Turnpike
A pickup and a car collided on the Kansas Turnpike.
A man from El Dorado is in critical condition at Wesley Medical Center. He's identified as 63 year old Gary Mills. Master Trooper Jeffrey Dietz said Mr. Mills had "a medical condition."
The accident occurred about one mile north of the Kellogg interchange in east Wichita.
In his written report, Dietz said a car driven by 24 year old Derek Vaporean of St. Louis was struck by the pickup driven by Mills. Both vehicles were northbound.
Vaporean's car left the roadway and struck a sign while the pickup struck a guardrail and a fence.
Vaporean received minor injuries.
The crash occurred Thursday night around 9:30.
