A Wichita police officer was not hurt when he was knocked down during a disturbance in the 200 block of North Mosley in Old Town.

It started with a fight between two men, ages 22 and 23. Officers moved into to break it up, which prompted one of the men to try and run away.

"It appears he did not see another officer that was standing there and ran into him, knocking him to the ground," said Police Lt. Doug Nolte.

The officer was not hurt. Both men were booked into jail for disturbing the peace. One was also booked for battery of a law enforcement officer.

It was reported at 1:50 a.m. Friday.
