South Wichita liquor store robbed
An armed man robbed Lamar's Liquor at 1014 West Pawnee in Wichita.
"He walked in, grabbed a can of beer," said Police Lt. Doug Nolte. "When he was up at the counter, he pulled a handgun out."
It happened at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The robber got away with some cash and the 43-year-old employee's cell phone.
The employee described the robber as an African-American man in his 20s, about 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds.
