It didn't take the Thunder long to enjoy the friendly confines of INTRUST Bank Arena, scoring 39 seconds into the first. Summers found RG Flath cutting to the net and he was able to beat Ian Keserich over the glove to make it 1-0. Tulsa evened things up at 2:08 as Ryan Cramer  put a one-timer in from the high slot. Several minutes later, Wichita re-gained the lead on a beautiful re-direction by Summers that squirted through Keserich to make it 2-1.

The second period belonged to Trimm, scoring his first 1:10 in. Ian Lowe made a nice play behind the Oilers net, popped the puck in the air to the left post where Trimm was able to settle it down with his right hand and made it 3-1. His second of the period came at 6:44 from Summers and Kevin Young. After a broken play at the Oilers line, Trimm scored his third at 13:25 with a beautiful toe-drag wrister that forced Keserich out of the game and gave the Thunder a 5-1 advantage.

Todd Griffith got into the act in the third period, scoring at 7:39 to extend the lead to 6-1. Tulsa would add a late goal from Cramer, his second of the night, to make it 6-2 and the Thunder skated away with their second-straight win.
