Wreck critically injures teenager in west Wichita
A teenage girl was seriously hurt when a pickup truck smashed the side of her car near Maize Rd. and Carr St.
The girl pulled out off of Carr St. around 4:45 p.m. Monday.
"The red vehicle ... was traveling eastbound on Carr Street, and apparently failed to yield the right-of-way to a white pickup truck that was southbound on Maize," said Wichita Police Sgt. Jess Boomer. "Obviously, they collided."
Boomer said the girl was in "extremely serious condition" at St. Francis Hospital.
The man driving the truck had no serious injuries.
