Governor announces plans for State of the State address
Kansas Governor Sam Brownback announced today the time and place for the 131st Governor's State of the State address.
The governor accepted the invitation of Kansas House of Representatives Speaker-Elect Ray Merrick (R-Stilwell) and Kansas Senate President-Elect Susan Wagle (R-Wichita) to deliver his 2013 State of the State address to the Kansas Legislature in the House Chamber. It will take place on Jan. 15 at 6:30 p.m.
A State of the State address is required by the Kansas Constitution.
