Tennessee hands Shockers first loss
The Wichita State men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season, dropping a game to Tennessee in Knoxville, 69-60.
Trae Golden led the Volunteers (5-3) with 25 points and five assists.
Carl Hall paced the No. 23 Shockers (9-1) with 21 points on 9-of-10 shooting. He also scraped for nine rebounds and collected three blocks.
But the Shockers sputtered in other areas. Tennessee sank 48 percent of its shots, and took 16 more free throw attempts. Hall was the only Shocker to score in double digits on the offensive end.
WSU hosts Charleston Southern on Dec. 20.
