Wichita Police said two men wearing masks broke into a house in the 4500 block of south Elizabeth and held five people at gunpoint.
Lieutenant Chris Halloran said one man wore a ski mask while the other had a hockey mask. This happened at 3 o'clock this morning.
Halloran said a Sedgwick County Sheriff Deputy spotted a gray Chevy used in the crime and tried to stop it near Haysville.
During a chase that wound through portions of south Wichita, the men allegedly threw two guns outside the car window. One gun was found in the 5500 block of south Lulu while the second was found in the 6100 block of south Greenwood.
"The chase lasted eight to ten minutes and went all over the south side of Wichita," said Halloran. "They eventually ended up on a dead end road (on Georgia west of Hydraulic) and then gave up."
"There's possibly a female involved at the residence. At this time it's not clear if she was a victim or a third suspect."
Just after 10 p.m. there was a residential robbery in the 2600 block of east Grail. "They match the description of that residential robbery. But it's still under investigation if they were involved in that one," said Halloran.
