Wichita man struck on head with hammer during a party
A 36 year-old man suffered a nasty blow to the head with a hammer during a house party fight.
It happened Wednesday night in the 1800 block of South Hiram, but the victim didn't report it until early Thursday morning. "Our victim was treated at the hospital. They were concerned for long term head injury, so they transferred him to St. Francis hospital where he was observed, but it doesn't appear his injuries will be life threatening." Police Lt. Doug Nolte said. Police got cooperation from party goers, which lead to a 39 year-old suspect arrested in connection with the case.
