The shooting death of a 37 year-old Wichita man is the latest  "Cold Case" police are focused on.

More than three years ago, in the 600 block of North New York, officers found Sammy Smith Jr. had been shot to death. " We know there were some individuals at his house the night before. Those were the last people to see him alive, probably around ten or eleven o'clock that evening." Police Homicide Lt. Todd Ojile said. Several items from Mr. Smith’s house were later located in a field a few blocks away from the residence.

Anyone who provides a tip on any of these crimes that leads to an arrest will receive $2,000, twice the normal Crime Stoppers reward for such cases. “ We encourage anyone with information about this or any felony crime to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously, either by phone at 316-267-2111, by text message by sending their tip to CRIMES (274637) and beginning their text message with TIP217, or on the web at www.wsccs.com." said Crime Stoppers Executive Director Gordon Bassham.

" All ways are anonymous and no one will ever ask the name of the tipster,” said Bassham.
