DUI checkpoint canceled due to predicted rain
Wichita police say they canceled a DUI checkpoint scheduled for Friday night because of a prediction of poor weather.
The National Weather Service was reporting a 60 to 80 percent chance for rain or thunderstorms. A news release said the cancellation was motivated by a concern for officer safety.
The checklane will be rescheduled.
