A house party results in robbery and shots fired
A fight during a house party resulted in shots being fired and a robbery in the 1300 block of South Ida.
Wichita Police responded to a shots fired call after a fight broke out between one man and six other men at the party around 3 a.m. Sunday. The six men left, but three returned, firing several rounds into a ceiling and walls from semi-automatic handguns.
"The first suspect, believed to be African-American, was described to be in his 20s with a red hankerchief over his face," said Wichita Police Sgt. Bart Brunsheen. "The second and third suspects were also African-American men in their 20s. The second man was wearing a blue and yellow hankerchief over his face and the third one had on a gray coat and hat."
The men demanded cellphones and money from partygoers. Officers also checked on the circumstances of the house party that was going on. Police said no one was hurt and officers did not get a suspect vehicle description at the scene. A lab unit was sent to collect evidence at the scene.
