Robber caught in the act at north Wichita convenience store
A 26-year-old man is in jail after a robbery attempt at a north Wichita convenience store. The man demanded money from a clerk around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Johnson's General Store at 5400 North Meridian.
Wichita Police Captain John Speer said the clerk was able to stall the robber and call 911. Park City police officers got to the store quickly. They arrested the man inside the store, and also found a stolen car he had been driving.
The man was booked into jail for attempted robbery and auto theft.
