Police looking for restaurant robbers
Wichita Police are looking for two gunmen who took cash from a west Wichita restaurant and also robbed a customer. The robbery happened around 6 p.m. Thursday at a Subway restaurant at 2424 South West Street.
Lieutenant Joe Schroeder said the two robbers went to the counter, and a 27-year-old man then walked in and got in line behind them. One of the robbers turned and pointed a gun at the man and demanded that he empty his pockets. The customer complied, and the gunmen also took cash from the register before leaving in a black Pontiac G-6.
One of the robbers was described as a white male around 20 years old, 6-feet-2 to 6-feet-4-inches tall and 220 pounds. He was wearing a black beanie cap, blue jeans, a black cotton zip-up jacket and was carrying a black semi-automatic handgun. The other suspect was a white male around 20-25 years old, 5-feet-7-inches tall with dark hair, a black zip-up jacket with a hoodie and blue jeans, and he had a pock-marked face.
No one was hurt in the robbery.
