Police said disturbance lands brother in hospital, sister in jail
A heated argument landed a woman in jail and her brother in the hospital.
Wichita Police said a 47-year-old man was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St.Francis with a chest injury. The brother's sister was arrested for suspicion of aggravated battery domestic violence.
"They live together, " Police Sgt. Scott Brunow said. "They got into a disturbance, during which the 39-year-old female struck her brother with a hammer and stabbed him in the chest with a knife."
The man's current condition isn't known. Police have no motive for the assault that happened just after 11 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of South Dodge.
