A Sedgwick County detention deputy is accused of engaging in sexual activity with a female inmate.

According to a daily booking report from the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office, the deputy, a man, was arrested and booked on Friday for two counts of unlawful sexual relations. It was not immediately clear what disciplinary action the deputy could face. KWCH Channel 12 was not able to contact Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter on Saturday.

In an unrelated case, former Sedgwick County detention deputy David Kendall, 22, is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing in January for allegedly sexually assaulting male inmates at the jail.
