Winter Weather Advisory declared until 6 a.m. Tuesday
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory effective through 6 a.m. Tuesday because of snow, freezing rain and freezing drizzle moving through the area.
Precipitation is expected to intensify during the evening and overnight hours of New Year's Eve, with snow mixing with freezing drizzle. KWCH Storm Team 12 meteorologists expect about one inch of accumulation.
Cancellations are few because school remains out for the holiday season. The Wichita Truck Driving School has canceled classes for Monday.
