A 42-year-old Wichita man will face aggravated assault charges when he gets out of the hospital. The man was injured in a fall after officers used a taser on him Tuesday evening.

Wichita Police Lt. Doug Nolte said the man argued with his 29-year-old wife at their home in the 1000 block of North Water. The man then pointed a gun at his wife and 12-year-old daughter and threatened to shoot them. The wife and daughter ran out of the house to call 911.

Nolte said the man had stepped out of the house two times to talk to police, and they weren't sure if he had the gun at that time. When the man stepped out a third time, officers used a taser on him. The man fell and suffered some broken ribs and a broken collarbone.

Nolte said police found the gun just inside the door of the home, and they also found a couple of other weapons in the home. The man's wife and daughter were not hurt.
