Wichita police arrested three men Thursday morning in connection with Wednesday night's fatal shooting in the 1700 block of Northeast Parkway. A fourth suspect turned himself in later in the day.

Police believe Shawn Rhone, 42, had been called to an address that turned out to be a vacant house, where the suspects said they wanted to buy marijuana.

"We believe the suspects attempted to rob Mr. Rhone," said Homicide Lt. Todd Ojile. "Mr. Rhone then tried to flee in his vehicle and that's when the shots were fired."

Rhone was able to drive himself to the QuikTrip at 13th and Oliver. He died at a hospital.

Three of the suspects were arrested in the 1400 block of North Glendale. Two of the men are 19-years-old. The others are 20 and 21. Three of them are related, Ojile said.

All four suspects were booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder. Police hope to present their case to the district attorney's office on Monday.
