Sedgwick County launches new website
Sedgwick County has made changes in its Internet website to provide easier access to information on county services and events. The changes went into effect Jan. 1.
County spokesperson Amanda Matthews said the website is organized to answer the basic questions of "How do I?" "When do I?" and "Where do I?" She said it's more functional and user friendly, and it doesn't require a user to know which department provides a service in order to find that service.
The county also plans to use Facebook and Twitter to provide information on local emergency updates, health alerts, invitations to events and tax deadline reminders, as well as information on changes in county government.
