Wichita Police bust drug ring
WICHITA, Kan. (AP) Five men have been arrested in Wichita for running what police call an elaborate drug ring that dealt in PCP, also known as "angel dust'' or "wet.''
The Associated Press reports the men, all from the West Coast and possibly tied to a gang, were arrested Thursday night after police acted on a tip.
Investigators found several weapons and a large amount of PCP. Police said the men were in Wichita to run the drug business and likely were wiring the profits back to California.
The suspects could be charged in federal court because of the large amount of drugs that were found.
Police spokesman Lt. Doug Nolte said PCP is becoming a very popular drug across the nation.
